This knife also comes from the award-winning best hunter design from the Las Vegas Classic Knife Show. This one boasts naturally mineral-stained mastodon ivory. The bolsters on this one are 0-1 carbon steel and have been slightly stained using gun bluing. As you know, carbon steel will rust if not maintained using oils or waxes to protect it.
The 1 1/16 wide blade comes from El Max stainless steel and has a 59-60 rockwell hardness. Overall length is 6 ½ inches and has a 2 7/8 inch cutting edge.
The custom hand-stitched leather sheath is my design and has dyed genuine manta ray skin as an inlay. It has been formed to insure the knife stays put while wearing it. It attaches to a belt, pouch, or pocket with a sturdy spring steel clip.
The engraving is my work and my design. I also engraved the spine with an “infinity” inlay of copper. From both ends of the inlay, a running wheat pattern grows to opposite ends of the knife. I can send pics by request.
